PDF Kit Pro is built so that your documents stay on your Mac. This page lists everything we do collect, and why. It's short because the list is short.

Who we are

Pypple Technology LLC ("we") makes PDF Kit Pro and is responsible for the information described on this page (in privacy law, the "controller"). You can reach us at support@pdfkitpro.app; our address is at the bottom of this page.

Your documents

PDF Kit Pro opens, edits, converts and saves your documents on your Mac. They are never sent to us, and there's no account to create.

The app goes online only for something you ask for: activating your license (once, on each Mac), Check for Updates when you choose it, saving a web page as a PDF, or downloading one of Apple's free fonts.

What we collect

Your email address

You give it to us when you buy. We use it to send your license key and download link, and to find your purchase when you write to us. We use it for nothing else.

Your payment

Stripe handles the payment as the merchant of record. Stripe collects your card or other payment details, your name and your billing address, to take the payment, work out tax and prevent fraud. Your payment details go to Stripe, never to us. Stripe tells us that you paid, how much, your email address and its reference numbers for the payment; we don't keep your name or address. Stripe's privacy policy covers what Stripe does.

Your license key

We create your key when you pay and keep it with your email address, the amount you paid and Stripe's reference numbers, so we can check activations, handle refunds and help you if you lose it.

A random ID for your Mac, when you activate

The first time you activate, PDF Kit Pro makes up a random ID, keeps it on your Mac and sends it to us with your key, so we know which one Mac the license is on. It isn't your Mac's serial number or name, and it says nothing about your Mac. Nothing else about your Mac is sent.

That's everything. This website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies.

Who handles it for us

• Stripe takes payments, handles tax and fraud, and sends receipts.
• Resend sends the email with your license key.
• Upstash stores license records: email address, key, Mac ID and Stripe's reference numbers.
• Vercel hosts this website and our license server. Like any web host, it keeps short-lived server logs that include IP addresses.

Each one handles your information only to do that job for us. We don't sell or share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep your license record for as long as your license exists, so we can check activations, move it to a new Mac and answer your questions. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: write to support@pdfkitpro.app. If we delete your license record, your key can no longer be activated or recovered.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
